1. Performance and use:

HEDP·Na2 is an organic phosphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on the metal surface. HEDP·Na2 can still play a good role in corrosion and scale inhibition at 250°C, is still very stable at high pH, is not easy to hydrolyze, and is not easy to decompose under general light and heat conditions. It has better acid and alkali resistance and chlorine oxidation resistance than other organic phosphonic acids (salts). It can form a six-ring chelate with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, so it has a good scale inhibition effect and a significant solubility limit effect. When used in combination with other water treatment agents, it shows an ideal synergistic effect.


HEDP·Na2 is widely used in industrial circulating cooling water systems such as power, chemical, metallurgy, and fertilizer, as well as scale and corrosion inhibition of medium and low pressure boilers, oil field water injection, and oil pipelines;


In the light textile industry, HEDP·Na2 can be used as a cleaning agent for metals and non-metals, a peroxide stabilizer and color fixer in the bleaching and dyeing industry, and a complexing agent in the cyanide-free electroplating industry

3. Usage

As a scale inhibitor, the concentration is generally 2-20 mg/L; as a corrosion inhibitor, the concentration is generally 20-100 mg/L; as a cleaning agent, the concentration is generally 1000-2000 mg/L. It is usually used in combination with polycarboxylic acid scale inhibitors and dispersants.

4. Packaging and storage

HEDP·Na2 liquid is packed in plastic barrels, 30kg or 250kg per barrel, HEDP·Na2 solid is packed in plastic woven bags lined with polyethylene bags, net weight of each bag is 25kg, which can also be determined according to user needs. Stored in a cool place indoors, the storage period of solid is 12 months, and the storage period of liquid is 10 months.

5. Safety protection

HEDP·Na2 is weakly acidic. Pay attention to labor protection during operation and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Rinse with plenty of water after contact.
