Cyclohexanone is an important chemical raw material and industrial solvent, which is the main intermediate in the production of nylon, caprolactam, and adipic acid. It is also an important industrial solvent, especially for paints containing nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride polymers and their copolymers, or methacrylate polymer paints. Used as an excellent solvent for pesticides such as Chemicalbook organophosphate insecticides and many analogues, used as a solvent for dyes, as a viscous solvent for piston type aviation lubricants, and as a solvent for fats, waxes, and rubbers. It is also used as a homogenizer for dyeing and fading silk, a degreaser for polishing metals, a coloring and painting agent for wood, and can be used for cyclohexanone film removal, stain removal, and spot removal.
